9.) Is there any payment to join the Zoo Volunteer programme?
A fee of RM25.00 for every registration will be charged for this programme which included a visit to Giant Panda Conservation Centre. This fee also for the contribution of wildlife environmental education programme.
10.) I pay to join the Zoo Volunteer programme. Does that mean I get to choose what I want to do / which animals I want to work with?
As a volunteer, your objective is to help Zoo Negara Malaysia in its daily operation.
11.) What if I want to join this Zoo Volunteer programme for a long-term of period, do I have to pay each time I join the programme?
Please notify the Education Department officers on your intention. Volunteers will be evaluated based on personality, attitudes, discipline and feedbacks from the supervisors.
The Education Department officers will advise the volunteers accordingly after the evaluation.
12.) Does Zoo Negara Malaysia still provide the certificate to acknowledge the time I contributed for the organization like the previous years?
A certificate will be given to the volunteers once he / she has contributed 40-hours in the zoo. Please inform the Education Department officers in the morning of your 40-hours contribution if you would like to collect your certificate on the same day.
13.) Where should I park my car if I drive to the zoo? Do I have to pay the Parking fee?
Kindly park your car near Gate 3 (where the Guard House is). Yes, you have to pay for the Parking Fee.
